Student and childThe mission of the Academy of Human Service Professions is:

  • To provide students with career guidance, support, and training in one of the many human service career fields.
  • To equip and prepare students to be successful at a post-secondary institution and in their community.

Five different strands within the Human Service Professions Academy have been designed to guide students in a selection of courses based on their background and preparation, and to build upon their strengths and individual interests. Students who love working with people, who enjoy helping others, and who are concerned about the health and well-being of the members of their community will find a course of study to support and orient them toward their chosen career paths:

  • Early Childhood Development

  • Health & Fitness
  • Justice, Law, & Society
  • Psychology & Social Services
